Southern Zimbabwe Conservancy

The Southern Zimbabwe Conservancy is a private wilderness situated in the lowveld region of southern Zimbabwe. In extent of 850,000 acres and home to the largest and most diverse variety of African game including Africa’s Big 5 it is undoubtedly one of Zimbabwe’s premier hunting destinations.

The SZC has been divided into 9 hunting areas, 7 of which are incorporated within the greater conservancy otherwise known as “Big 5”. Each area is strategically situated to ensure hunters are given the best opportunities at the target species they wish to pursue. They all have their own unique and exclusive hunting lodge stylishly build into the landscape where they have been situated. They consist of 2 or more 2 - bed chalets with on suite bathroom facilities providing all the necessary comforts for discerning hunters and their fair weather hunting companions. Under a separate roof are the tastefully designed lounge, dining room and kitchen. Each lodge comes standard with fire pit where hunting stories of past and present are shared and a swimming pool for those wishing to soak away the dust and grime from a hard day’s hunt.

Matetsi Unit 2

Matetsi Unit 2 is 72000 acres of prime unfenced true fair chase hunting, renowned for quality dangerous game, sable and a variety of plains game. The area consists of big open vlei’s and springs with the Matetsi River running through the length of the concession providing pools of water throughout the year.

Unit 2 is situated in the west of Zimbabwe, only a 90 minute drive from the famous Victoria Falls with Botswana, Unit 1, Unit 4 and Kazuma Forest making up the boundaries.
The camp is beautifully located on a small hill overlooking a typical Matetsi vlei. Camp consists of three thatched rondavels all with ensuite bathrooms. The camp has electricity with a back up generator and WiFi. There is A separate thatched bar, dining area and fire pit facing west giving the most incredible sunset views.
